GUY’S 🤑 BUDGET & TIMELINE ⏳

Start planning A.S.A.P! ⏰ You’ve waited a whole 12 years for this party, so now is the time to get it all together.

6 – 12 MONTHS BEFORE FORMAL ⏳

• Make a check list of everything you think you might need to get and have a guess at the costs to budget like:
  – Suit hire = $70 – $300
  – Shoes = $50 – $300
  – Limo hire = $45 each if your group is big
  – Her Corsage = $15 – $50
  – Manscaping = $20 – $300
  – Formal Ticket = $35+ per person
• If you’re lucky enough to have your folks chip in, ask them early on how much they will give/loan you.  If it isn’t enough, think about getting a part-time job so you can start saving money.
• Your date. Have a think about who you’d love to make some cool memories with.
• Start a healthy eating and exercise routine ? … but check with your health care professional before starting anything though.

3 – 6 MONTHS BEFORE FORMAL

• Get a date. If you haven’t asked or been asked to the formal – get on to it! Don’t leave it to the last minute.
• Book the limo now. Consider going in a group and hiring a limo so you can split the costs. If you don’t want a limo, what about matching Harleys? I’ve seen Ride-On-Mower arrivals, so be as daring as you like! But a lamborghini is epic!!
• Confirm colours as soon as your date knows what colour her dress will be then fit & book-in your suit now. I SAID ? Now!!!!  You def don’t want leftovers.
• Keep up the healthy eating and exercise. Killer Abs aren’t evertying, but feeling great is.
• Keep a check on your budget.
• Pre and Post Formal parties. These need to be organized now so you can let everyone know that yours will be going off!

6 WEEKS BEFORE FORMAL

• Co-ordinating. Your date should know what colour her dress will be by now. You need to know this so you can order her corsage and book your tux/suit accessories to match.
• Purchase your formal tickets ?

2 WEEKS BEFORE FORMAL

• Get a haircut ??‍♂️
• Confirm the limo. Ring and double check they know the right pick-up date, time and location. Make sure you have all the money from everyone riding with you – you don’t wanna get stuck with the bill!
• Confirm your suit hire details and pick-up date and time.
• Confirm pre/post formal party numbers so you know how many to cater for.

2 DAYS BEFORE FORMAL

• Confirm with your date the pickup time and where you’ll meet.
• Polish your shoes.
• Drop some after-party clothes where you’ll be getting changed now so you don’t have to worry about it on the night.
• Thank your folks ? … They’ve spent a lot of time, money and energy to get you here, so a ‘Thank-You’ card and some nice words about how much you appreciate them will score you some serious points.

⌛ THE BIG DAY!

• Pick up your tux/suit.  Avoid a big knot by getting the tie or bow-tie pre-tied for you ❗❗❗ But if you’re feeling brave, there’s about 500 million hours of videos on Youtube to help you rock it.  Also if you can, try your suit on in the shop to make sure everything is there and that it fits properly.
• Pick up her corsage and ask your florist what the best way is to keep it fresh. Don’t put it in the fridge! Most household fridges are way too cold and it could go mushy … ❌ YUCK! Your florist will tell you the best way to preserve it.
• Charge your iPhone.
• Have a shower then a shave about an hour before you need to get dressed. This will give your skin a chance to calm down if a shaving rash occurs or you cut yourself.
• Once you’re dressed, do the full 360 in the mirror, just to make sure you haven’t forgotten something.
• If you’re feeling a bit stressed, just close your bedroom door and take a few deep breaths. If something’s not quite right or you just got a zit, don’t stress it. The only person to notice it will be you. It’s all in the attitude.
• You know you look hot, now go out there and strut your stuff!
